Analyzing plays in the NBA

The Bastketball Geek had a couple of in-depth analysis of professional basketball games in the US in the last month. The first analyzed the various ways a play could end (shots, out-of-bounds, etc.), and was followed up by an analysis of the ways the subsequent play might begin. Both analyses are based on Bayesian Statistics (assuming a Dirichlet distribution) from the MCMCpack package in R.
