ASA to offer prize for statistical computing and graphics

The American Statistical Association has announced a prize, to be awarded every two years, to "recognize an individual or team for innovation in computing, software, or graphics that has had a great impact on statistical practice or research". The winner will be selected by chairs and past chairs of the ASA's Sections on Statistical Computing and Statistical Graphics, and will receive $5000 cash plus travel to the JSM conference where the award will be presentation. Nominations for the 2010 prize must be submitted by December 15, 2009. Information on how to be considered for the prize are linked below.
