Following on from the great success of the UseR! conference this past summer in Rennes, France, the UseR! 2010 conference will be hosted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Maryland, USA. This annual gathering of R devotees from around the world is funded by the R Foundation (and REvolution Computing is one of the sponsors).
The 2010 meeting will take place at the Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA campus of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), July 21-23, 2010. As with prior years, the conference schedule is comprised of invited lectures and user-contributed sessions as well as half-day tutorials presented by R experts prior to the conference.
Invited speakers will include Mark Handcock, Frank Harrell Jr, Friedrich Leisch, Michael Meyer, Luke Tierney, and Diethelm Wuertz, plus open-source guru Richard Stallman. R users are invited to submit proposals for talks (on just about any R-related topic) to the organizers before March 1. And if you want to attend, registrations are now open.
