For a roadmap, I saw web-based gui, but you currently are using viz studio gui. How's that transition going to work? Or will you continue to support both technologies?

Is it possible to get more information about your plan for the web service layer?

That is, I think, the best way to get more people to use R. I know because that is what I plan to do with it: plug it into my Rails app!

Alain, we don't have any further details about the web services available just yet, but keep an eye out here at the blog for announcements.

Robert, the new GUI is a completely separate project from our existing Visual Studio based IDE. The new GUI will be web-based and cross-platform.

It was interesting to learn more on the R language to perform statistical analyses and the thin client application. The points I've noted down from this post will be referred for future reference.
