For anyone who missed the useR! 2010 conference in Gaithersburg last month (or just wants to revisit some of the amazing talks), you can now find slides from many of the contributed presentations available for download. (Look for the [S] link to download slides.) The presentations from the Revolution team members are there, including:
- My presentation on Evolving R for Use in Commercial Environments
- Sheri Gilley's presentation on Designing a Flexible GUI for R
- Jeroen Ooms' presentation on Web development with R
Even better, in a first for the useR! conference, video is available for the invited talks (or audio, in the case of Richard Stallman's talk) and the panel discussion, "Challenges of Bringing R into Commercial Environments". And for anyone thinking of starting up a user group, check out the video of the panel discussion, Local R User Groups (with thanks to Drew Conway).
Finally, slides and exercise materials are also available for many of the tutorials.

Are there more details available about about the Phoenix (codename) server described in Jeroen Ooms' presentation? It sounds like this is a product Revolution is going to commercialize; is that correct? When is it due to be released?

Ian,
Yes, this is a forthcoming product; it was alluded to in our roadmap. There's not too much detail yet as it hasn't been officially announced, but it will be very soon. It's currently in beta testing, if you're interested in being involved.
