Today I learned (via Ars Technica) that NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio has produced a fantastic-looking movie Dynamic Earth, which showcases the inner workings of the Earth's climate and it's relationship with the Sun. And it was announced today, the movie won first place in the Video category of the NSF's International Science and Engineering Visualization Challenge. Here's a clip:
