Mathesaurus

Although the name gives me visions of a large metallic vehicle festooned with greek letters and maths symbols destroying small cars in a crowded arena, Mathesaurus is actually a quick reference guide for translating code idioms between mathematical computing languages. Translated languages include Octave/MATLAB, NumPy, Python, IDL and R. The project is dedicated to creating an XML document translating idioms between the various languages, but various extracts have been produced in a more consumable PDF or HTML form. These extracts are of particular interest to R users:
