On Sunday November 1, the Bay Area chapter of the ACM is hosting an "unconference" camp devoted to the topic of data mining. (REvolution Computing is sponsoring the event.) I'll be there with my laptop to gather with attendees and hack on some data mining problems with R. I'm looking for some novel data sets or R scripts to use as a starting point, so if you have any suggestions (or you have some data you'd like some stats geeks to spend some time looking at) let me know in the comments. And if you're in the Bay Area, why not come along? The details are in the link below, and in the R Community Calendar.
