coxme, a package for fitting frailty models, has been significantly updated to allow very general random-effect models specified with an lmer-like syntax.DEoptim, a package for optimization by differential evolution, has been updated to significantly improve its speed.
rms, a package that improves the modeling, testing, estimation, validation, graphics and prediction capabilities of R for regression, has been updated with the addition of smooth calibration curves for externally or internally validating a survival model with right-censored data.=
tmvtnorm, a package implementing the Truncated Multivariate Normal distribution, has been updated for speed and to support one-dimensional marginal probabilities.
