The next update to CRAN R, version 2.10.1, will be released on December 14 according to this r-announce mailing list posting from R Core member Peter Dalgaard. As usual for point-releases, this update will focus on bug fixes and minor improvements. Binary versions for Windows, Mac and Linux are typically released a few days after the source release.
Update: As noted by R-core member Duncan Murdoch in the comments below, there's no such thing as "CRAN R", and the R project shouldn't be confused with the network of sites that distributes it. Duly noted, and thanks to Duncan for the correction.
r-announce: R 2.10.1 Scheduled for December 14, 2009
There is no such thing as "CRAN R". What Peter announced is just plain R.
CRAN is the site that is distributing it, and there's an overlap between the management of CRAN and the management of the R Project, but they aren't the same thing.
