Analyzing the Analyzers is a new short report by Harlan Harris, Sean Patrick Murphy and Marck Vaisman, documenting the results of a survey of 250 data scientists. In the report, they categorize data scientists into four archetypes: data businesspeople, data creatives, data developers and data researchers. Beyond the quantitative results of the survey, the report also contains some useful advice for data scientists looking for works (how you shoudl market yourself, depending on the kind of data scientist you are), and for employers looking for data scientist (how to write job descriptions to match the position with a data scientist of the right background). It's well worth a read for anyone looking for work or employees in data science.
