This is awesome news, hopefully there are/will be some positions in Google/Facebook/other tech giants as well that require R :)

I've only been an official Microsoft employee for a couple of weeks now, but can already tell it's a great place to work.

(sample size == low ??)

Anyways, we are SOOO happy that you are happy that you are a Microsoft employee now

Any chance of locating some positions in Seattle for those preferring a short commute?
