This short video (via Vox) presents the entire history of Japan (yes, since the dawn of man on the islands!) without pausing for breath, and it's hilarious:
I don't have much in the way of knowledge about Japanese history, but if the comments on Reddit are anything to go by (usually a hyper-critical bunch) it seems that most of the major details are broadly correct. (Turning on annotations fixes a couple of on-screen errors.) I'd love to see more history videos from Bill Wurtz (perhaps a series in the style of CPG Grey), but alas this is the only one and it seems likely to stay that way. Do check out his bizarre collection of four-bar jingles, though.
